RD-AquaFinish 97

RAL 9007 metallic effect finish lacquer for interior and exterior application.

Useful for the renovation of claddings, garage doors, equipment, furniture etc., RD-AquaFinish is applied as a finish on our anti-corrosion products, or directly on the surface in some cases.

FEATURES:

RD-Aquafinish 97 is a single-component topcoat based on acrylic and polyurethane resins that offers a hard flexible and wear resistant white aluminium film effect that can be used for decorative and protective purposes.

RD-Aquafinish 97 is water-based, easy to handle, safe and has no fire risks.
It is a fast-drying coating system that greatly reduces downtime during installation.
Virtually odour free, it does not affect neighbouring occupants and can therefore be used in occupied buildings.

RD-Aquafinish 97 creates a nice and smooth finish. Thanks to its high-quality aluminium pigments, it offers very good resistance to humidity and has a very good outdoor durability.

SUBSTRATES:

Various surfaces like plastics, concrete, cement, wood, metal, when primed accordingly.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS:

Ambient temperature: minimum 5C (41F) Optimal between 12 and 25C (54 and 77F).
Relative humidity: maximum 80 %
Surface temperature must be minimum 3C (5F) above dew point.

APPLICATION MEANS:

Brush, roller or low pressure pneumatic spray gun.

PREPARATION OF THE SUBSTRATE:

Preparation will depend on the kind of substrate. In general, the surface must first be coated with a primer, clean and degreased prior to applying RD-Aquafinish 96.

DILUTION:

Product is ready-for-use.

DRYING TIME (20C – 68F):

Touch dry: +/- 1h30 hours
Dry: +/- 2 hours
Recoatable: +/- 4 hours

CLEANING OF TOOLS:

Water
