We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy policy explains how we collect, store and use information collected from our websites, and how you can instruct us if you prefer to limit the use of that information. This policy also explains the procedures that we have in place to safeguard your privacy. This policy was updated in-line with the European General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) in May 2018 (EU2016/679).

What data is being collected, and how do we use it?

When you use our online services we need to collect the relevant information to be able to process your order (ecommerce websites) and / or request for information (contact submissions).

For ecommerce orders we need to know your name, job title, postal address, e-mail address and telephone number, together with any other relevant information to process your order.

For requests for information (contact us submissions) we required a contact name, telephone number and email address.

Although credit / debit card information may additionally be required to process your order, this is never collected or stored by any of our group websites, in all instances we use an approved and secure 3rd party gateway who collect all monies for us.

We only gather this information to allow us to process any orders you may make. The relevant information is then used by us (or by another company / supplier within the supply chain) to process your orders and to communicate with you on any matter relating to the status of your order.

All information gathered is the minimum required in order to process your request for information and / or order, therefore this is the legal basis for collecting this data.

Following the submissions of an order, or a request for information, we and our Group may also wish to provide you with information about special features of our website or any other service or products we think may be of interest to you. If you would rather not receive this information, please send an e-mail to uksales@newguardcoatings.com. If you are to receive one of these communications, these will only contain information we feel is relevant to you, and should no response be received, we will remove you from any future mailings.

Requests for general Information (Opt-In):

On our website there may be the option to sign-up to our marketing information. In all instances these are opt-ins, which also give clear instructions of how to opt-out at any point in the future.

Storage of Data:

Any data collected as described above will only be stored internally, with access limited to approved personnel only (including but not limited to senior members of staff). Data will only be stored for a maximum of 2 (two) years, if not additional content is received for us to continue holding said data. If consent has previously been provided and you respond to one of our additional communications, this will be perceived as additional consent unless you state otherwise.
